Residents of both areas reported their cars were stirred up. In both cases the door was unlocked. The most concerning of them all was in the Cambron district, where two handguns were stolen from the same vehicle.

“It’s a firearm, it’s illegal on the streets now, and could be used for other crimes easily stolen by someone,” Mooney said.

Residents in both areas expressed concern and disappointment that despite reports of theft from unlocked vehicles, it is still careless to leave guns unsecured. Did.

“Be a responsible gun owner. Lock your car if you leave it in your car. Just remove the firearm from the car and lock the door,” Mooney explained.

Police hope to arrest the suspect and recover the gun before it can be used in future crimes. Please call the police.
